Internationally admired for his compelling performances and warm communicative style, Jayson Gillham is recognised as one of the finest pianists of his generation.

After receiving numerous prizes from leading piano competitions including the Leeds, Van Cliburn and Chopin competitions, it was Jayson’s win at the 2014 Montreal International Music Competition that brought him to international attention.

Since 2015, Jayson has recorded a number of acclaimed solo albums for ABC Classic as well as the highly acclaimed live recordings of Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy, Medtner and Rachmaninoff concertos with the Melbourne Symphony and Benjamin Northey.

Recent performance highlights include concerto engagements with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony, Melbourne, Adelaide and Queensland Symphony Orchestras, Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, Cape Town and Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestras as well as solo recitals at Wigmore Hall, Louvre Auditorium, St Martin-in-the-Fields and Oxford Piano Festival.

Jayson has adjudicated the Birmingham International Piano Competition, Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition, BBC Young Musician of the Year and is delighted to return to Shepparton for the first time since receiving First Prize at the 2008 Australian National Piano Award.
