    Described by the Wall Street Journal as a “real talent”, ARIA Award-winning Australian pianist Andrea Lam performs with leading orchestras and conductors across Australia, Asia and the USA. She made her orchestral debut at 13 with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and has since performed as soloist with all of Australia’s major symphony orchestras, from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House.

    Andrea is the classical expert on ABC TV’s The Piano, and her solo album Piano Diary won the 2025 ARIA Award for Best Classical Album. After two decades in New York, where she was pianist of the Claremont Trio, she returned to Australia and is now Lecturer in Piano at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music and a board director of the Australian National Academy of Music.

    A semifinalist in the 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and winner of the ABC Young Performer of the Year Award, Andrea holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and Yale University.
