Alyssa Chalmers is completing a Master of Music Studies (Piano Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studies with Dr Scott Davie. A graduate of the Conservatorium High School, she completed her Bachelor of Music (Piano Performance) with First Class Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2025. Her honours thesis examined the mazurkas of Frédéric Chopin.

During her studies, Alyssa received the Bruce A. Pontin Memorial Scholarship (2022), the University of Sydney Early Offer Year 12 Scholarship (2022), the University of Sydney Academic Merit Prize (2023) and was twice named to the Dean's List of Academic Excellence.

Alyssa has performed extensively throughout Sydney as both a soloist and chamber musician, appearing at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, City Recital Hall and Verbrugghen Hall. In 2020, she was invited to present a solo recital for Her Excellency Margaret Beazley at Government House Sydney.

Alyssa's competition accolades include First Prize at the 2024 Sydney Eisteddfod Chamber Music Competition, a finalist placing at the 2022 Osaka International Music Competition, Third Prize at the 2025 Marilyn Meier Chopin Award and finalist placings at the Sydney Conservatorium Concerto Competition in 2024 and 2025.
