Brian Luo is completing a Master of Music (Performance) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music under Glenn Riddle.

Embarking on his musical journey at the age of six, Brian started piano lessons with Professor David Lockett AM at the age of eight. He has received numerous accolades and awards, including the Single Studies Scholarship at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. 

In 2015, Brian received a scholarship to attend The Purcell School for Young Musicians in London with Patsy Toh and performed at Milton Court. While in the United Kingdom, he was recognised with a British Government scholarship to support his musical pursuits.

Brian has received recognition in various competitions, including first prize for the 2022 Boroondara Eisteddfod Piano Concerto Competition, the 2022 Theme & Variations Foundation Award, the 2021 University of Melbourne Concerto Aria Competition, the 2021 3MBS The Talent and the 2020 Melbourne Recital Centre Great Romantics Competition.

Currently based in Melbourne, Brian was a semi-finalist in the 2023 Singapore International Piano Competition and is an active performer and educator.
