Kevin Chow is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Performance at the University of Melbourne under Jerry Wong. He holds a Master of Music and a Master of Musical Arts from Yale University, where he received the Outstanding Alumni Award for his final degree recital, and recently completed his Konzertexamen (Doctoral Artist Diploma) with special distinction at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold. His principal mentors have included Alfredo Perl, Boris Berman, Yoon Sen Lee, Boris Slutsky, the late Peter Serkin and Glenn Riddle.
An accomplished concerto soloist, Kevin has performed with leading ensembles worldwide, including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Morocco Philharmonic, the Thailand Philharmonic, the Fremantle Symphony Orchestra and the Hagen Symphony Orchestra. He has also appeared as a featured soloist at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn.
At the 2023 Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn, Kevin received the audience-voted Beethoven-Haus Prize. He has also received top prizes at the ABC Young Performers Awards, the Maj Lind International Piano Competition in Finland, the Orchestre Philharmonique du Maroc International Piano Competition and the Thailand International Piano Competition.
As a chamber musician, Kevin has collaborated with the Meta4 Quartet and Duo Miow and has appeared at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.
